Sassi walking tour + Bread workshop
Overview
Among the many activities we can propose, this is the most formidable combo.
A guided tour of the stupendous Sassi of Matera and at the end a nice class on Matera bread, where you will learn with your own hands how to give the bread the typical “cornetto” shape. The workshop, carried out inside a traditional oven, will be followed by a tasting of focaccia, friselle and a glass of red wine.
Along this pleasant visit, you will be accompanied through the alleys and stairway paths of Sasso Caveoso, encountering unexpected views and panoramas in every direction, ones that will enchant you. Stops are planned for historical, architectural and cultural study of Matera. You will have the opportunity to visit one or two sites internally, among rock-hewn churches and cave dwellings. After which you can have fun working with the dough and become a true master baker and finally enjoy an aperitif in peace while admiring the Sassi in the background.
Practical information

General: The two activities are performed sequentially, optimizing time and avoiding transfers. Compatibly with the time available, and with the availability of the oven, it will be possible to collect your own loaf of bread.
