(Workshop) The Bread of Matera
Overview
The workshop takes place in a traditional bakery, where you will be introduced to the long tradition associated to Matera’s bread making practices, which intertwine with the history of the city. The staff will show you how Matera’s bread is realized and then it will be your turn to get your hands in the dough and make the typical bread shape. The workshop ends with a tasting of bread and extravirgin olive oil, typical products such as taralli, pettoline and focaccia, accompanied by water, wine or an organic drink of your choice.
