Overview
Recognizable at first sight for its unmistakable profile, Ostuni “the white city”, will amaze you with the beauty of the Aragonese towers that surround it in the lower part, and with the glow of the white lime that its houses are painted with.
The heart of the city is Piazza della Libertà, with the obelisk of Sant’Oronzo. From there, as you go up towards the Cathedral which dominates the city, you will walk through the narrow streets of the center which recall the typical villages of Greek Mediterranean culture. Another site of interest is the Civic Museum of Preclassic Civilizations of the Southern Murgia.
