Visit to a farm and walk to the spring
Overview
At the heart of this evocative experience is an ethical, green farm. You will visit a farm, devoted to ethical and environmentally sustainable animal husbandry.
Afterwards, the countryside will be the protagonist of the relaxing walk to the spring source, along the hill paths you will discover and admire the typical flora and fauna of the Matera countryside, while enjoying the suggestive view over the “Fossa Bradanica” valley.
Your guide will describe the history, traditions and characteristics of the area, but also teach you how to recognize Murgia’s wild herbs you can use to season your dishes and to prepare delightful infusions. At the end of the hike, back to the farm, you will have a tasting of local, organic and seasonal products.
