(Workshop) The Dairy

Overview

The workshop takes place in a cheese factory, located in a traditional farming business which is devoted to the sustainable production of its own milk and dairy products. The dairy masters will show you how to make different types of cheese, including mozzarella and primo-sale. This is an exciting experience where you can become a dairy master yourself by learning how to make the typical knot-shaped mozzarella. The workshop ends with the tasting of Lucanian typical products and cheese such as mozzarella, primo sale, caciocavallo and canestrato. It will be possible to purchase their products and take home a delicious souvenir.

Practical information

  • General: Comfortable clothing, closed non-slip rubber shoes, long trousers recommended, transfer required (specify if you have a car).

  • Suitable for: Adults and children.
